COURAGIOUS BRUDE

It was late night and Chandan was returning from his office after loads of heavy work done for the day. He was driving the bike pretty fast as no people around and suddenly a creaky sound….his bike skid and he fell down, his bike skated and finally hit a tree. The place already being lonely with hardly any houses around, nobody had noticed what had happened. Chandan’s right leg was badly hurt. He could not move.
In the same road, lived a street dog named Brude (passersby named him that way), who was famous for barking at people and scaring them to hell. Brude had seen the accident. He ran near Chandan barking out loud. Chandan being already hurt, unable to move, was scared to death looking at the barking dog coming near him. He was sure that dog would bite him today, so he made all efforts to get up run but in vain. Brude went near him, but Chandan kept saying chooooo, go away. Brude did not bother though. He went and sniffed his legs slowly, gave him a sad look and at once turned back and started d running to the end of the street.

There was a policeman doing his night duty near the beach located there. Brude went near the policeman. But the policeman at once realized its Brude and yelled at the dog to go away and even started to beat him up with stones and the stick he had. Brude did not fear at all. He gave one long jump snatched the police cap he was wearing and started running towards Chandan. The policeman not realizing what the dog was upto, went behind to get hold of his cap. Brude went and stopped near Chandan.
Policeman on finding a person hurt, at once helped Chandan took him to nearby hospital and saved him. Thus Brude though could not speak like us, did all his efforts in saving a unknown man lying hurt on the street. Policeman patted Brude on his back saying YOU COURAGIOUS BOY…BRAVO!!

Name Board

Hi Folks

Thanks to indusladies website that has boosted up my creativity.

Today my mind popped up with a different idea of making name board for my home. But since i have made this with our photo, i decided to hang it inside home (not on main door) at the entrance so that once somebody who opens the door they can have a clear cut view:

Forgive the picture quality, has not come that clear. Attached are the images...:-) Open for feedbacks and comments.

My Father-In-Law's Birthday -22/04/2009

No words to describe the day - 22nd April 2009. Yes, It was my father-in-law's birthday. This year, we all were thinking of what to gift him. Every year, every one, its usual...just buy a cake and cut it into pieces and munch them well. No its not going to be that way , thats what i decided. I thought and thought and thought...and voila there came a nice idea. An idea of celebrating his birthday with a bunch of children at an orphonage. My hubby and me chose a place near our home at velachery. The orphonage name is Jerome School of Orphonage near madipakkam in chennai. They have 30 children, 2 elders and about 8 staff working for them. So We all set our journey towards there to provide dinner to those children.

True success comes only through united effort. Our team includes my hubby, me, my two brother-in-law's and my dear anni. We all sat and discussed the plan , decided the menu, bought some gifts for the kids there, booked a cab in the evening to set the journey through. In the evening at about 7.30 , my mil, fil, grandma, two bils, kavitha anni, saagar, varshi, nethraa, my hubby n me.....all reached the desitination happily. Already were waiting for us was Swarna chitti, her husband and Anusha who volunatarily chose to come with us for the occasion to celebrate with the kids. Once I got there, I was kind of bit shocked to see the place. I never ever expected it to be this worse.

Just imagine there were only two rooms. And about forty people were occupying the same. No ceiling fans, no washbasin just nothing. They just had one table fan. All the things dumped in the corners. There were about four kids, who were 2 to 2 and half years old uptil kids who go to school, stuyding in grade eleven. I could not digest things for sometime. I went ahead to speak to those people and incharge there told me few instances of how these kids were found in railway station and other public places at about just being four days old. My God, what a pity.

We decided to give away the gifts first. So we all sat in one room. They all sang...."Happy Birthday Thatha" Then as any kid would do it.... everyone on receiving their gifts very delighted to unwrap those. Few asked for our help to do so. Few already busy tearing papers..tarr tarr... million dollars dont match to see the smile on their face that time :-)

Next, what..we decided to serve food ....All set in their plates, two parotas, channa masala, vegetable fried rice, two rasogallas, some red sause...and still no one touched their plates. I was wondering why. Which when I saw the incharge commenced her prayer and right followed all the kids... kneeling down, and praying to God thanking for the food they got that day. Almost tears came down my eyes when I saw that even the youngest one was sincere enough to do that. how we have to learn from them

Thus our journey ended by thanking them for their wishes and we set back towards home in both happy and sad mood. Happy cause we could do something for some one, made somebody smile especially. Sad cause of their situation there how they live without parents. This definetely reminds us of being thankfull to God for all the things he has given us, giving us... and to give us.
Also one more lesson to learn... NEVER EVER COMPLAIN... BE HAPPY WITH WHATEVER WE HAVE. (ofcourse we human brains can never do it...but atleast i decided i will try being that way)

LEts seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

FIRST ANNIVERSARY - A HAPPY JOURNEY

My First Anniversary - A very happy journey we had. Before that , about myself.........10th March 2006 a day unforgettable day in my life... a day when my dream came true.... a day where i was in Heaven loaded with joy, smile and happiness...... a day to cherish every year to come by....... the day of my MARRIAGE. Yes I know for everyone their marriage day would be special but for me.. it was much more SPECIAL than anybody's else.

Why.......................................................????

Ours was a love cum arranged Marriage. Yes I chose the partner of my life. We knew each other for almost three years before marriage. I met him in my first company where i worked "Hewlett Packard" in Bangalore.
He was a very silent guy. Well me the opposite, a very talkative girl. Initially we were friends and slowly that friendship bloomed into a beautiful relationship called LOVE. We went ahead and took a bold decision of getting married. After a long wait of three years, we told our parents about it. And well as you guess, which parent will accept at once. His parents accepted.... but my dad was totally against it . Well the reason as anyone can guess is CASTE. Me being a Brahmin, he being a non-Brahmin...how would all this happen.....?
But one fine day .......everything happened so well....both our parents wholeheartedly accepted to OUR MARRIAGE - 10th March 2006.

I just cant believe that one year has passed by and its now 10th March 2007. As you know such a memorable one ---THE FIRST ANNIVERSARY---we landed up in a place called Varkalam in Kerala. Its 60km from Trivandrum. A very spectacular place to visit....We started from our home at Bangalore on 09th March 2007 at 5.30am in a call taxi. Me was so curious calculating time......to reach Railway station...when it would start...a long journey in train....Guess What....within no time, we reached Bangalore Airport. What a lovely suprise...?

With a sweet and silent smile on his face........he looked at me and told " Darling, My First Suprise"

I was so moved...(well actually i was just standing still totally suprised :-)...)

It was Kingfisher Airlines and we reached Trivandrum at 8.30 am, where a car was already waiting for us to take to the desired destination. About an hour, we reached "The Kadal Theeram Beach Resort And Ayurvedic Spa" .... a beach side resort. Just a few yards from resort is the vast SEA......very touching and wonderful to watch. Out of the usual environment...a very calm place...where all you can hear is the sound of waves.... truly spectacular. From our resort balcony we had a very nice view of beach. Having a cup of coffee as a couple facing the charming waves...what more do you need in life?

We spent happy three days...there doing a bit of sight seeing...a beautiful spot where sea meets backwater...then an old temple... the cliff. We the couple all alone in beach....playing few games on the sand...trying to put our names.....as the waves come and wash off...trying to collect pebbles.....resting for sometime on rocks where water comes and splashes on your face.....the trip was so refreshing. Ofcourse we could not leave our footprints on the beach...but atleast we captured it over our camera.

Thus this trip was the unforgettable one. Where each and everything I saw, was a sweet suprise waiting for me from my hubby.

An Answered Prayer He is to Me
My Greatest Blessing She will always be
Together on this day now
We pledge our love in front of God Above..:-)
